LA28 opens with a question embedded in its own motto: Create What's Next. But to understand what's next, you have to confront what came before.
This concept proposes a 10-12 minute split-screen segment broadcast simultaneously from both venues: the Coliseum as the world of the past, SoFi Stadium as the world of the future. Two protagonists, one in each stadium, are on a mission, each uncovering the story of their era. The audience watches both worlds unfold at the same time, in the same frame.
The segment shifts between first-person and third-person perspectives, borrowing from the visual language of video games to create a level of immersion rarely seen in live ceremony formats. At the climax, both storylines converge, revealing that past and future are not opposites but a single continuous story.
The format opens two extension possibilities: real-time interactive moments designed specifically for online viewers, and a jump-and-run game that recreates the ceremony's narrative as a playable experience, giving younger audiences a point of entry into Olympic history that meets them where they already are. This is a self-initiated concept project created for educational and portfolio purposes.
