What data is generated and where does it come from?
On the one hand, data is generated by you providing it to me yourself, for example, when you fill out the contact form and thereby communicate your name and email address to me. On the other hand, technical data is automatically generated when the page is accessed, such as which browser or operating system you use and when you visited the page. This data is collected in the background by my hosting provider, Framer.
Why is this data processed?
The technical data ensures that the website reaches you reliably and without errors. I need your details from the contact form in order to be able to respond to your inquiry.
What rights do you have regarding your data and its processing?
You can ask at any time which data is stored about you (origin, recipient, and purpose) and request that it be corrected, blocked, or deleted. To do so, simply use the contact details provided in the Legal Notice (Impressum) or in Section 1 of this declaration. If you do not agree with the type of processing, you can also lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority.

It is important to me that you can rely on careful handling of your data when visiting this page. I process personal data exclusively within the framework of legal requirements and as described in this declaration.
Since this website is designed purely as a portfolio with a contact option, the amount of processed data is comparatively small. Nevertheless, I would like to show you in detail below where which data is generated and what happens to it subsequently.
Please note that although I endeavor to protect your data in the best possible way, completely seamless security during the transmission of data over the Internet cannot be technically guaranteed.
3. Duration of Data Storage
Unless a different period is specified further below, the following applies: Your data remains stored for as long as the respective processing purpose persists. If you legitimately request the deletion of your data, I will delete the affected data unless statutory retention obligations, such as those arising from tax law, prevent this. In this case, deletion will take place as soon as the corresponding period has expired.
4. Notes on the Legal Bases
Unless expressly stated otherwise elsewhere in this declaration, I base the processing of your data on one of the following legal bases from Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR:
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, if you have declared your consent to data processing to me.
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if the processing is necessary to fulfill a contract with you or to prepare contractual steps at your request, such as when you reach me via the contact form.
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, if I have a legitimate interest in the processing, for example, in ensuring that this website runs technically stably and securely.
Which of these bases concretely applies depends on the respective data processing and is mentioned in the individual points of this declaration.
5. To Whom Your Data May Be Disclosed
For the operation of this website, I work together with external service providers who process data on my behalf. Currently, this concerns the hosting provider Framer. I have concluded corresponding data processing agreements with such service providers, more details on this in Section 9. Beyond this circle, I only pass on your data if I am legally obliged to do so or if you have expressly consented beforehand.
6. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Right to object to the processing of your data, insofar as this is based on a legitimate interest and reasons arise from your individual situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

Erasure of your data, provided that no statutory retention obligations, overriding interests of third parties, or the assertion of my own legal claims prevent this (Art. 17 GDPR).
Restriction of processing, for instance while I am reviewing a rectification request submitted by you (Art. 18 GDPR).
Data portability, provided that a processing is based on your consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means. In this case, you can request to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format or to have it transmitted directly to another controller (Art. 20 GDPR).
Complaint to a supervisory authority, if you are of the opinion that the processing of your data violates applicable data protection law (Art. 77 GDPR). As a rule, the authority at your place of residence, your place of work, or my place of business is competent.
Withdrawal of consent: Should you have given me an express consent for a data processing, you can withdraw this at any time with effect for the future informally (e.g., via email).
7. Encrypted Transmission
In order to prevent details that you transmit to me, for example via the contact form, from being read by third parties on their way to me, this website runs via an encrypted SSL/TLS connection. You can recognize this by the fact that the address in the browser begins with "https://" and a lock symbol is displayed.
8. Technical Operation of the Website via Framer
This website is not hosted on my own server, but is hosted externally via the platform Framer. This means that all data generated when calling up this page is processed and stored on the infrastructure of Framer. Framer delivers the website via a Content Delivery Network, which technically builds upon Amazon Web Services (AWS). With every page view, the server automatically records the following connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system used, the previously visited website (referrer URL), date and time of access, as well as further technical data.
This data serves to guarantee a smooth connection setup, system security, stability control, as well as the defense against cyber attacks. The server security logs are only stored for as long as is strictly necessary for these security purposes, and are subsequently automatically deleted or completely anonymized. The legal basis for this processing is my legitimate interest in a technically stable and secure website pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Without this processing, the operation of the website would not be possible. Overriding legitimate interests of the users do not conflict with this, as no evaluation of user behavior takes place. Framer Analytics is automatically active as part of the hosting platform I use and collects statistical usage data without employing cookies or storing any information on your device. According to Framer, the evaluation is carried out in a way that does not allow the identification of individual persons. This processing serves my legitimate interest in understanding and continuously improving the use of this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
When accessed from Europe, the contents are generally delivered from the geographically closest AWS data centers, primarily from Frankfurt am Main or Ireland. When accessed from the USA or Asia, a copy of the static website content is loaded via the respective local CDN nodes. This may result in a transfer of data to the USA. The US infrastructure service providers deployed by Framer are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which is why an adequate level of data protection pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR exists. In addition, Framer contractually safeguards data streams via the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

Data Processing on Behalf (Auftragsverarbeitung) by Framer
When a service provider processes personal data on my behalf without deciding on its use themselves, this is referred to as data processing on behalf. The GDPR requires me to conclude a corresponding contract with such a service provider, which obliges them, among other things, to handle data exclusively according to my instructions and in compliance with data protection law. I have concluded such a contract with Framer as my hosting provider.
10. Cookies
Cookies are small files that a browser can store on your device when you visit a website. They do not cause any harm themselves, but rather help technically to enable certain functions of a site in the first place.
This website uses exclusively technically necessary cookies. Cookies for analysis, marketing, or tracking purposes (e.g., Google Analytics or comparable services) are not deployed. The reason for this is that Framer, as a hosting platform, does not set any cookies beyond what is technically necessary by default, as long as no additional third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, or embedded videos) are integrated into this website. Should this be the case in the future, this privacy policy would be amended accordingly and a cookie banner would be established. Insofar as individual technically necessary cookies are required to maintain basic functions (e.g., session management), their storage on your terminal device is carried out on the basis of § 25 para. 2 TDDDG. I base the subsequent processing of the resulting data on my legitimate interest in a functioning website pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Without these cookies, the operation of the website in its basic function would not be possible. The processing is limited to the minimum necessary for this purpose and stands in an appropriate proportion to the pursued objective. Because it involves exclusively such technically necessary cookies, this website dispenses with a cookie banner. Regardless of this, you can determine at any time in the settings of your browser whether and how cookies are permitted. However, this may lead to individual functions of this site being restricted.
11. Contact Form
If you use the contact form on this website, I store the information you enter there, such as your name, your email address, and your message, in order to process your request and to be able to refer back to the previous exchange in the event of follow-up questions. The data transmitted via the contact form will be forwarded to my email inbox, through which I will further process your inquiry. I use Google Workspace to manage incoming messages from the contact form. The operator is Google Ireland Limited, based in Ireland. Access by the American parent company, Google LLC, cannot be completely ruled out. Since Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, an adequate level of data protection within the meaning of Art. 45 GDPR exists. In addition, there is a data processing agreement with the provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, which is additionally safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission. Your data will not be passed on to other third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract or I am legally obliged to do so (e.g., retention obligations towards tax authorities within the scope of my freelance activity).
Depending on what your request relates to, I base this processing either on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if it concerns the initiation or fulfillment of a contract, or on my legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the meaningful processing of incoming requests. Should I expressly ask you for consent elsewhere, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR applies.
Your information from the contact form will remain stored with me until the purpose of the processing is fulfilled or you ask me to delete it, provided that no statutory retention obligation prevents this.
The information in the contact form is provided voluntarily. However, without at least your name and email address, I cannot process your request or reply to you. Therefore, these two pieces of information are necessary to achieve the stated purpose.

3. Dauer der Datenspeicherung
Wo weiter unten keine abweichende Frist genannt ist, gilt: Ihre Daten bleiben so lange gespeichert, wie der jeweilige Verarbeitungszweck fortbesteht. Fordern Sie berechtigterweise die Löschung Ihrer Daten, lösche ich die betroffenen Daten, es sei denn, es bestehen gesetzliche Aufbewahrungspflichten, etwa aus dem Steuerrecht. In diesem Fall erfolgt die Löschung, sobald die entsprechende Frist abgelaufen ist.

5. An wen Ihre Daten gegebenenfalls weitergegeben werden
Für den Betrieb dieser Website arbeite ich mit externen Dienstleistern zusammen, die Daten in meinem Auftrag verarbeiten, aktuell betrifft das den Hosting-Anbieter Framer. Mit solchen Dienstleistern habe ich entsprechende Verträge zur Auftragsverarbeitung geschlossen, mehr dazu in Abschnitt 9. Über diesen Kreis hinaus gebe ich Ihre Daten nur weiter, wenn ich gesetzlich dazu verpflichtet bin oder Sie mir vorher ausdrücklich zugestimmt haben.
6. Ihre Rechte als betroffene Person
Widerspruchsrecht gegen die Verarbeitung Ihrer Daten, soweit diese auf einem berechtigten Interesse beruht und sich aus Ihrer individuellen Situation Gründe dafür ergeben (Art. 21 DSGVO).

Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, etwa während ich einen von Ihnen gestellten Berichtigungsantrag prüfe (Art. 18 DSGVO).
Datenübertragbarkeit, sofern eine Verarbeitung auf Ihrer Einwilligung oder einem Vertrag beruht und automatisiert erfolgt. In diesem Fall können Sie verlangen, Ihre Daten in einem strukturierten, gängigen Format zu erhalten oder direkt an einen anderen Verantwortlichen übermitteln zu lassen (Art. 20 DSGVO).
Beschwerde bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde, falls Sie der Ansicht sind, dass die Verarbeitung Ihrer Daten gegen geltendes Datenschutzrecht verstößt (Art. 77 DSGVO). Zuständig ist in der Regel die Behörde an Ihrem Wohnort, Ihrem Arbeitsort oder meinem Geschäftssitz.
Widerruf einer Einwilligung: Sollten Sie mir für eine Datenverarbeitung eine ausdrückliche Einwilligung erteilt haben, können Sie diese jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft formlos (z. B. per E-Mail) widerrufen.
7. Verschlüsselte Übertragung
Damit Angaben, die Sie mir übermitteln, etwa über das Kontaktformular, auf dem Weg zu mir nicht von Dritten mitgelesen werden können, läuft diese Website über eine verschlüsselte SSL/TLS-Verbindung. Sie erkennen das daran, dass die Adresse im Browser mit "https://" beginnt und ein Schloss-Symbol angezeigt wird.
8. Technischer Betrieb der Website über Framer
Diese Website liegt nicht auf einem eigenen Server, sondern wird extern über die Plattform Framer gehostet. Das bedeutet, dass sämtliche Daten, die beim Aufruf dieser Seite anfallen, auf der Infrastruktur von Framer verarbeitet und gespeichert werden. Framer liefert die Website über ein Content Delivery Network aus, das technisch auf Amazon Web Services (AWS) aufbaut. Bei jedem Seitenaufruf erfasst der Server automatisch folgende Verbindungsdaten: IP-Adresse, Browsertyp und -version, verwendetes Betriebssystem, die zuvor besuchte Webseite (Referrer-URL), Datum und Uhrzeit des Zugriffs, sowie weitere technische Daten.
Diese Daten dienen der Gewährleistung eines reibungslosen Verbindungsaufbaus, der Systemsicherheit, der Stabilitätskontrolle sowie der Abwehr von Cyberangriffen. Die Server-Sicherheitslogs werden nur so lange gespeichert, wie es für diese Sicherheitszwecke zwingend erforderlich ist, und anschließend automatisch gelöscht oder vollständig anonymisiert. Rechtsgrundlage für diese Verarbeitung ist mein berechtigtes Interesse an einer technisch stabilen und sicheren Website nach Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Ohne diese Verarbeitung wäre der Betrieb der Website nicht möglich, schutzwürdige Interessen der Nutzer stehen dem nicht entgegen, da keine Auswertung des Nutzerverhaltens erfolgt. Framer Analytics ist als Bestandteil der von mir genutzten Hosting-Plattform automatisch aktiv und erfasst statistische Nutzungsdaten, ohne dabei Cookies einzusetzen oder auf Ihrem Endgerät Informationen zu speichern. Nach Angaben von Framer erfolgt die Auswertung in einer Weise, die keine Identifizierung einzelner Personen ermöglicht. Die Verarbeitung dient meinem berechtigten Interesse, die Nutzung dieser Website nachzuvollziehen und stetig zu verbessern (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
Bei Aufruf aus Europa werden die Inhalte in der Regel aus den geografisch nächstgelegenen AWS-Rechenzentren ausgeliefert, primär aus Frankfurt am Main oder Irland. Bei Aufruf aus den USA oder Asien wird eine Kopie der statischen Website-Inhalte über die dortigen lokalen CDN-Knotenpunkte geladen. Dabei kann es zu einer Übermittlung von Daten in die USA kommen. Die von Framer eingesetzten US-Infrastrukturdienstleister sind unter dem EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) zertifiziert, weshalb ein angemessenes Datenschutzniveau nach Art. 45 DSGVO vorliegt. Zudem sichert Framer die Datenströme vertraglich über die EU-Standardvertragsklauseln (Art. 46 DSGVO) ab.

Auftragsverarbeitung durch Framer
Wenn ein Dienstleister in meinem Auftrag personenbezogene Daten verarbeitet, ohne selbst über deren Verwendung zu entscheiden, spricht man von Auftragsverarbeitung. Die DSGVO verlangt, dass ich mit einem solchen Dienstleister einen entsprechenden Vertrag abschließe, der ihn unter anderem dazu verpflichtet, Daten ausschließlich nach meinen Vorgaben und im Einklang mit dem Datenschutzrecht zu behandeln. Einen solchen Vertrag habe ich mit Framer als meinem Hosting-Anbieter abgeschlossen.
10. Cookies
Cookies sind kleine Dateien, die ein Browser auf Ihrem Gerät ablegen kann, wenn Sie eine Website besuchen. Sie selbst richten keinen Schaden an, sondern helfen technisch dabei, bestimmte Funktionen einer Seite überhaupt erst zu ermöglichen.
Diese Website verwendet ausschließlich technisch notwendige Cookies. Cookies zu Analyse-, Marketing- oder Trackingzwecken (z. B. Google Analytics oder vergleichbare Dienste) werden nicht eingesetzt. Grund dafür ist, dass Framer als Hosting-Plattform standardmäßig keine Cookies über das technisch notwendige Maß hinaus setzt, solange keine zusätzlichen Dienste Dritter (z. B. Google Analytics, HubSpot oder eingebettete Videos) in diese Website eingebunden werden. Sollte dies zukünftig der Fall sein, würde diese Datenschutzerklärung entsprechend ergänzt und ein Cookie-Banner eingerichtet. Soweit einzelne technisch notwendige Cookies zur Aufrechterhaltung grundlegender Funktionen (z. B. Sitzungsverwaltung) erforderlich sind, erfolgt deren Speicherung auf Ihrem Endgerät auf Grundlage von § 25 Abs. 2 TDDDG. Die anschließende Verarbeitung der dabei anfallenden Daten stütze ich auf mein berechtigtes Interesse an einer funktionierenden Website nach Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Ohne diese Cookies wäre der Betrieb der Website in ihrer grundlegenden Funktion nicht möglich. Die Verarbeitung ist auf das hierfür notwendige Minimum beschränkt und steht in einem angemessenen Verhältnis zum verfolgten Zweck. Weil es sich ausschließlich um solche technisch notwendigen Cookies handelt, verzichtet diese Website auf ein Cookie-Banner. Unabhängig davon können Sie in den Einstellungen Ihres Browsers jederzeit festlegen, ob und wie Cookies zugelassen werden, das kann allerdings dazu führen, dass einzelne Funktionen dieser Seite eingeschränkt sind.
11. Wenn Sie mich über das Kontaktformular erreichen
Nutzen Sie das Kontaktformular auf dieser Seite, speichere ich die dort von Ihnen eingegebenen Angaben, etwa Ihren Namen, Ihre E-Mail-Adresse und Ihre Nachricht, um Ihre Anfrage zu bearbeiten und um bei Rückfragen auf den bisherigen Austausch zurückgreifen zu können. Die über das Kontaktformular übermittelten Daten werden an mein E-Mail-Postfach weitergeleitet, über das ich Ihre Anfrage weiter bearbeite. Zur Verwaltung eingehender Nachrichten aus dem Kontaktformular verwende ich Google Workspace. Betreiberin ist Google Ireland Limited mit Sitz in Irland. Ein Zugriff durch die amerikanische Muttergesellschaft Google LLC lässt sich dabei nicht vollständig ausschließen. Da Google LLC unter dem EU-US Data Privacy Framework zertifiziert ist, liegt ein angemessenes Datenschutzniveau im Sinne von Art. 45 DSGVO vor. Ergänzend besteht mit dem Anbieter ein Vertrag zur Auftragsverarbeitung nach Art. 28 DSGVO, der zusätzlich durch die Standardvertragsklauseln der EU-Kommission abgesichert ist. Eine Weitergabe an sonstige Dritte findet nicht statt, außer soweit dies zur Vertragserfüllung erforderlich ist oder ich gesetzlich dazu verpflichtet bin (z. B. Aufbewahrungspflichten gegenüber Finanzbehörden im Rahmen meiner freiberuflichen Tätigkeit).
Je nachdem, worum es in Ihrer Anfrage geht, stütze ich diese Verarbeitung entweder auf Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO, wenn es um die Anbahnung oder die Erfüllung eines Vertrags geht, oder auf mein berechtigtes Interesse nach Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO an einer sinnvollen Bearbeitung eingehender Anfragen. Sollte ich Sie an anderer Stelle ausdrücklich um eine Einwilligung bitten, gilt Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
Ihre Angaben aus dem Kontaktformular bleiben bei mir gespeichert, bis der Zweck der Bearbeitung erfüllt ist, oder Sie mich um Löschung bitten, sofern dem keine gesetzliche Aufbewahrungspflicht entgegensteht.
Die Angaben im Kontaktformular machen Sie freiwillig. Ohne zumindest Namen und E-Mail-Adresse kann ich Ihre Anfrage allerdings nicht bearbeiten und Ihnen nicht antworten, insofern sind diese beiden Angaben notwendig, um den genannten Zweck zu erreichen.
