This concept is a cinematic, high-stakes competition format designed for the U.S. Sestercentennial that challenges 100 youth representatives to relive American history through monumental, narrative-driven physical quests. By bridging the tactical precision of game design with the visceral human experience of "Blood, Sweat, and Tears," the project translates national heritage into a spectacle. This concept redefines patriotism as a shared journey of grit, resilience, and collective endurance. This is a self-initiated concept project created for portfolio and educational purposes. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the official Freedom 250 White House Task Force, America250, or any government agency.

Research & Framing

Exploring how patriotism can be designed for a divided nation. What does it take to make a national event feel unifying rather than political, and how the right storytelling earns international respect instead of eye-rolls.

World Building

At the core was the idea that each competition task should draw a direct line between physical challenge and American historical legacy. Every element had to speak the same language: trophy design, athlete outfits, broadcast overlays, ceremonies and game design were developed as one coherent system.

Visual Execution

Translating the concept into a visual language that had to hold two tensions at once: desirable enough to feel elite and worth competing for, yet modern enough to resonate with a young audience. The trophy and medal design, developed in a functional, tech-wear aesthetic, became the test case for that balance.
